Not a squirrel or an opossum? See the Lists of Licensed Rehabbers

If you determine that a squirrel or an opossum needs our help, please follow these steps:

1) TEXT a picture of the animal to 860-810-3743

2) Provide your name, location, and all details regarding the found animal.

3) Be patient - remember that wildlife rehabbers are volunteers who are inundated with calls and emergencies. We are often working beyond their maximum capacity. We all want to help you AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

4) Be prepared to transport the animal. For your safety, handle only with gloves or blankets, provide secure containment with air holes, and provide supplemental heat in the form of t-shirts, blankets, warm water bottles, or a sock filled with rice that has been heated in the microwave.
